The brewery is called Jovaru Alus because it’s in the village of Jovarai, which again is part of the small town of Pakruojis. It’s the most famous of the Lithuanian farmhouse breweries, supplying the house beer to the three Šnekutis bars in Vilnius. It’s also been featured on foreign TV, in magazine articles, and so on. Locally, the brewer, Aldona Udriene, is known as “the queen of Lithuanian beer,” for her regal bearing, and the excellence of her beer.

Apie / About

—LT———————————

FACEBOOK EVENT

—EN———————————
The aim of the event – to familiarize beer consumers with different and interesting beer in our market. Often we are afraid or can not afford to buy a whole bottle, especially of imported beer. Therefore, this festival runs “sampler order” – at the entrance received a 100 ml cup, you can fill it (for a fee) and also taste more beers – no need to book a half-liter (of course none of that will not be prohibited). The festival will be present interesting beers from around the world. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with new beers and new breweries.

Käbliku (EE)

The story of Käbliku Brewery

Janar, Eerik and Marko formed Käbliku Brewery (named after the recreational farm where they started out brewing), two years ago. Like so many of the best things, Käbliku came about after a few beers, as the guys realised they could do better themselves than the mainstream options available at the time.

“Actually, at that time there really weren’t many very good beers on the market and we were getting a bit tired of the mainstream ones, so making something ourselves that we thought would definitely taste better was a major influence in our decisions.”

Their first brew was the pretty ambitious Jäger Beer, a pale ale with coriander and bitter orange peel, but it went down well, and inspired the guys to come to the craft beer festival in Tallinn last December with five new beers. Feedback was good, and now, just a few months later, they have already tried out 20 or 30 beers, and brought out their first ‘official’ beer, ‘Absurd’.

And there’s more to come,

“We try to create beers that interest us and don’t always hold to any Reinheitsgebot. Also with Estonia having so vast culture of using all kinds of herbs and plants from the forest for medicinal purposes we have created several beers testing their properties to form a tasty brew and many more recipes are still waiting to be brewed.”

Õllenaut (EE)

Jau trečius metus paeiliui – alaus kosmonautai iš Estijos vėl pas mus!

As last two year – Estonian beer astronauts are back to our festival!

Brewing for Ilmar Räni, head brewer  of Õllenaut, is ‘a hobby that got out of hand’. So much so, that from starting out only five years ago in his back bedroom, he now produces and sells 180000 litres per year from his own craft brewery . The beers are bottle conditioned, the brews are completely unique and interesting and local ingredients like Estonian rye and Estonian wild hops are used. Focus is on taste, not on volume!

Sidro namai
